The multi-award winning American philanthropist Maggie Doyne is coming to Dubai.
On Thursday Jan 16 the inspiring 33-year-old will be hosting a talk at Malaak Mama and Baby Care.
Prepare to be inspired Dubai-based parents, as the free to attend talk will touch on the highs, lows and challenges Doyne has faced during her journey.
And once you’ve been inspired – and dried your eyes – Doyne will be opening up the floor to answer any burning questions you may have as well as giving you an opportunity to have a chat with her one-on-one.
But that’s not all, because the Malaak experts, Cecile de Scally, Jo Holt and Janice Bustamante will also be on hand as well to provide general parenting advice to any mums or dads in need of some top tips.
Lily Kandalaft, the founder of Malaak Mama and Baby Care has been personally moved by Doyne’s story saying: “She has this incredible passion of helping others and her life is now focused on supporting so many little children in need which is absolutely incredible.”
“We host weekly mama mornings at the centre and thought what better way to start the new year then hearing from an incredible Mama who has helped so many children in need?”
Since she started on her philanthropic mission aged just 19, Doyne has opened a school, children’s home, women’s centre and girls’ safe house in Nepal.
Incredibly the project was started initially by her own money she had earned while babysitting. Subsequently she has carried out various fundraising missions to secure the funds she needs to further her philanthropic endeavours.
Doyne is heading to the UAE to pick up yet another accolade. Her school, the Kopila Valley School, has been shortlisted for the Zayed Prize, the results of which are being announced in Abu Dhabi on Monday January 13.
Prepare to be inspired!
